Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) prepares to report on Tuesday. Consensus says that earnings of $0.51 are expected on revenue of $16.69 billion. Merck (NYSE: MRK), the other drug giant, earned $0.85 last Friday, but missed revenue estimates. The company made $11.12 billion in sales when analysts were expecting $11.24 billion. The company also lowered its guidance.
Merck closed Friday's trading day at $36.31, while Pfizer closed at $17.42.
