Most awaited IIT JEE Results 2011 today

The results for Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) for the admission in the dream institute of every aspiring engineer will be declared today as announced months ago even before the exam was conducted. There was some buzz earlier this month that the results would be postponed as an NGO had filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) which was to seek the stay on the declaration of the results, however apex court rejected the litigation after calling it a publicity stunt to bring some attention to this NGO named "Satya Foundation".

IIT Kanpur had conducted the JEE this year where total number of 4,85,262 had appeared in 131 cities across the country. A new initiative has been taken this year which probably would be regular trend as the scanned answer scripts on the candidates would be uploaded on the JEE website after the results are declared. To protect the privacy of the students and their performance, these answer sheets would be password protected and would only be viewed once the correct password.

This new feature would add a new dimension to the way candidates work on how to improve or analyse the performance. It would also give the students to compare their performance with the other participants. The IIT-JEE results can be checked on the official website of JEE on http://jee.iitd.ac.in, once published.
