South Korea 2-1 Victory Against Ghana in Friendly

Koo Ja-Cheol struck in stoppage time to give South Korea a dramatic 2-1 victory over Ghana at Jeonju World Cup Stadium on Tuesday in an international friendly match.

The Wolfsburg midfielder, who finished 2011 as the Asian Cup as top scorer, was introduced as a substitute in the second half and maintained its objective impressive form from Korea, which came four days after a victory over Serbia by the same score.

Korea took the lead after 12 minutes when Ji Dong-won headed a corner into the network through the hands of Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson.

Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan was quickly overcome when he sent a penalty kick to put straight into the arms Jung Sung-ryeong.

The two teams that reached the second round of the 2010 World Cup, Ghana continued to attack and took a deserved draw after 65 minutes. Sulley Muntari and striker Gyan published English-based low shot into the net in Korea.
