David Brandon Talks Requirements For New Head Coach

Although the press conference yesterday, was called to relegate Rico Rodriguez Michigan coach in the past, athletic director David Brandon has sent most of the questions about the future - in particular, that would be the next coach.

Several names have been floating in and out of the debate. Jim Harbaugh at Stanford, Brady Hoke, and San Diego State, Northwestern's Pat Fitzgerald and even suggested the possible replacement candidates.

And even if the speculation about the status of the work of Rodriguez is over, the speculation about his replacement has just been up and running.

Brandon Harbaugh not specifically said he believed that the coach will meet Stanford in the NFL. Brandon did not offer much in the way of naming, which would probably replace Rodriguez, but he spoke of what he was looking for a replacement.

"This individual is a person is highly visible to a large extent, the name and face, which is very important for the university," Brandon said. "This person must be able to compete at the highest levels. Expectations are very high here ... (and) that the coach puts them in a position where they must have the ability to resist such pressure to do so."

He added that the head coach of the football team will be "an important spokesman for the university."

Briles Has Baylor Football Back

Holiday made me think. Or perhaps it was ESPN outstanding 30-for-30 documentary "Pony" too and my baptism of college football, especially in the Southwest Conference.

Only date me, I was 8 when Grant Teaff at Baylor and removed from the Miracle on the Brazos, Texas, beating, 34 to 24 (or even look at the score).

As I'm sure many of you know, is the first win at Baylor in Texas in 17 years. The Bears overcame a 24-7 deficit in half.

E 'for this day is a signature win Teaff, Baylor and Signature of the season. I think it's fair to say, right?

Because I'm going here? It made me think that gives the SWC country at the time, and how it is in a similar way to how things are today.

If you recall, it was really, really hard to get to the final destination - the Cotton Bowl.

Texas A & M did not sniff Dallas for decades, until Jackie Sherrill arrived. Texas had its drought. Arkansas, as good a program as it was played in a handful of Cotton Bowls from 1974 to Hogs left the conference.

Teaff only brought him back to the Cotton Bowl in 1981, which has also been a magical season.

With the loss of their best running back in the foreground, Tar Heels have lost a total of 31 players for scholarships at least one game this year - because of injuries and 14 because of the investigation on all NCAA allegations of misconduct and athletes who receive incorrect.

17 The top line, who led the team with 720 rushing yards and was the third largest export destination UNC with 24 catches for 288 yards. Even with its serious staffing problems throughout the season, UNC (6-3, 3-2) remains in the mix for the title Coastal Division home game Saturday against Virginia Tech (7-2, 5 - 0).
