Cops shoot ‘phony’ gunman

Police say a man walking towards a crowd with a gun in his hand, was shot three times after refusing to drop the weapon. 
According to police and sources at the scene, the man with a gun was spotted at 3 a.m., on April 22, at the corner of Cromwell Avenue in Highbridge. When officers from the 44th Precinct ordered the man to drop the weapon and he refused, the officers shot the man three times. The man was rushed to Lincoln Hospital, his condition is not known. 
One police source stated that the weapon was actually, "An imitation pistol." 
Three officers were also removed to other area hospitals, they were all being treated for trauma.
