Consumer Electronics Bears about to get Schooled

NEW YORK - Over the coming weeks, electronic makers such as Apple, Microsoft, and Hewlett Packard are expected to rise as back to school season rounds the corner. Students are beginning to pick up Mac Books, iPhones, new printers, Laptops, and iPads at discounted prices as retailers brace for the shopping crowds.

“I just have to get a Mac this year,” said a student waiting in line at the apple store with a group of his friends. When asked how they were paying for the pricey device, each student had a different answer. “My scholarship is paying for this one.” One of the students replied. “I’m getting a part time job at McDonalds this year.” Another student chuckled. “My parents said they would pay for an iPad if I promised to let them use it… and do my own laundry.” said another.

Students everywhere have crafted various ways of buying the products they so need and desire.

“Are you kidding?” A student with his family said at the checkout line in Best Buy when asked about his new quad-core computer. “I can’t do any work without a good computer. And I need the best – GTX 480M…” he salivated, “And I’m not even a StarCraft fan.”

Notebooks were flying off the shelves at the Best Buy location, as printers, backpacks, and Apple accessories were being given away with the purchase of every computer.
