Baseball and Softball: Five Loudoun Teams Advance in Regional Play

(May 31, 2011) - From AA to AAA Loudoun baseball and softball teams had a great Memorial Day as five teams advanced in regional tournament play. Stone Bridge baseball in the Northern Region and Loudoun Valley softball in the Northwest Region both advanced to the semifinals.

(May 31, 2011) - A trio of Stone Bridge High School girls soccer players -- senior Emily Fredrickson and sophomores Ashley Herndon and Murielle Tiernan -- were named first team All-Northern Region in a vote of the region coaches.

Baseball: Stone Bridge Blastgs Woodson, 11-3, to Advance to Northern Region Quarterfinals

(May 30, 20110 - In a game that had several intriguing storylines, the Stone Bridge Bulldogs defeated W.T. Woodson 11-3 Friday afternoon in a first round game of the Northern Region playoffs. The Bulldogs pounded out 13 hits including four home runs and received heroic pitching performances from seniors Stephen Putnick and Mac West.

(May 30, 3011) - The Stone Bridge High School softball team lost, 4-3 in 9 innings, to the West Potomac Wolverines in a Northern Region first round contest that started on Friday, and due to lightning and rain, was resumed on Saturday.

Girls Soccer: Stone Bridge Season Ends in Storm of Second-Half Goals, Weather Delay

Ashburn (May 30, 2011) - After a magical run in 2010 to the AAA VHSL girls soccer state title, Stone Bridge High School had its season end Friday night in a storm of second-half goals by Chantilly and then a lightning delay that extended long enough to make the Chargers an official 3-1 winner with still 16 minutes yet to play in the AAA Northern Region quarterfinal.

Baseball: Stone Bridge Hosts Woodson at 4 p.m. in Northern Region First Round

(May 27, 2011) - Before your beach getaway how about a little baseball as Stone Bridge High School is hosting Woodson at 4 p.m. this afternoon in the first round of the Northern Region tournament.

Girls Soccer: Stone Bridge Hosts Chantilly in Northern Region Quarterfinal Tonight

(May 27, 2011) - Defending AAA state champion Stone Bridge High School will host Chantilly tonight at 6 p.m. in a Northern Region girls soccer tournament quarterfinal.

The two teams met on April 26 with Chantilly (9-4-2) defeating Stone Bridge (13-3-1), 2-1.

Boys Soccer: Stone Bridge Players Pick Up Northern Region Honors

(May 26, 2011) - Stone Bridge High School senior defender Luke Schierling and junior keeper Abe Yoslov were both named to the Northern Region boys soccer first team in a vote of the coaches. Bulldog junior midfielder Michael Morningstar made Honorable Mention.

Wrestling: Stone Bridge Senior Pat Taylor Qualifies for AAA State Meet

Volleyball: Stone Bridge Puts Three on Northern Region First Team
