The Utility Vendor Data Base (UVDB) Verify audit and assessment service focuses on risk critical issues and provides demonstrable compliance to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality requirements. It is well recognised for providing independent evaluation, benchmarking and industry specific assessments, all of which can lead to a significant reduction in the time and endeavor required for the pre-qualification of contracts.
The scheme is regarded by many as the ‘Gold Standard’ for contracting companies serving utility companies.
Wakefield Acoustics was evaluated on the company’s in house health, safety, quality and environmental systems, and also that of a recently completed site installation, including design and manufacture, of an 80m x 4m acoustic screen at Kingsmill Hospital in Mansfield.
All the company’s scores were high, with the Quality element in both the Onsite Assessment and the Management System Evaluation being above 90%.
Jane Dawson, managing director of Wakefield Acoustics commented,
“We are delighted to have achieved the Achilles UVDB Verify Accreditation. It is a terrific achievement and highlights not only our market leading position, but also underpins our commitment to investing in safety, health, quality and environmental systems, both at our manufacturing plant and also on the end user sites on which we operate.”
