Toronto, April 30th 2011 – The Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Continental Tire (CTCC) is pleased to confirm that Honda Performance Development will support CTCC Touring Class Honda competitors for the 2011 season.
Honda Performance Development, Inc. (HPD) is Honda's racing company within North America, and is a subsidiary of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Founded in 1993, and located in Santa Clarita, California, HPD is the technical operations centre for Honda's and Acura's high-performance racing programs.
"Honda was well-represented in CTCC last season with 18 different competitors in Touring Class alone. We expect another full contingent of Hondas this season which will put on a fabulous show", stated John Bondar, President of CTCC. "We are excited to welcome Honda Performance Development to CTCC and look forward to another competitive season."

CTCC Touring Class Honda competitors will have 45 different opportunities to receive parts credits towards Honda OE parts or Honda Racing/HPD performance parts. Furthermore, an additional Driver Champion Bonus is also available to the Honda competitor that wins the overall Touring Class Championship.
About CTCC: The Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Continental Tire is Canada's only professional road racing series. Now in its fifth year, CTCC showcases race cars based on their stock street version. CTCC will be featured at Circuit ICAR, Mosport International Raceway, Honda Indy Toronto and Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières.
