BRP and WestWorld Motorsports are proud to announce this new partnership. Both Canadian organizations have a passion for excellence and have storied histories for reaching the podium. As part of the partnership, the first outing for the BRP NASCAR will be on Sunday, July 25th in the Canadian Tire 100 event at the Edmonton Indy. Martin Motor Sports, BRP’s largest North American dealers, will serve as an associate sponsor for the event.
Daryl is a native of Edmonton, Alberta and has been driving stock cars since the age of 16. As CASCAR National Rookie of the Year in 1998, CASCAR West Champion in 2002, runner-up to David Gilliland for Rookie of the Year in 2004 in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, and Most Popular Driver of the Year in 2000, Daryl Harr is one of the most active Canadian drivers in NASCAR today. “I am very excited to be representing BRP and Martin Motor Sports at the Edmonton Indy”, said Daryl Harr on Wednesday regarding the newly established partnership. “I have been riding Ski-Doo since before I could drive a racecar. I am hoping that we are able to build into a national program in 2011”.
The Edmonton Indy is BRPs first entry into NASCAR, using the Edmonton event as a testing ground for a potential 2011 national program. WestWorld Motorsports is based out of Edmonton, Alberta. The team won the 2001 and 2002 CASCAR West Championship with Carl Harr and Daryl Harr respectively. The team has primarily focused on competition in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series that runs in the Western United States. Daryl will be attempting to qualify for his secong NASCAR Nationwide Race at Iowa Speedway July 31st. WestWorld Motorsports will be fielding a second car at the Edmonton Indy driven by Carl Harr, father of Daryl Harr.
