350 best cricketers in the world will go under the hammer Janvier Bangalore 8-9 in the auction for the fourth season of Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Indian cricket board said Wednesday that the best Indian players like Gautam Gambhir, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra and Yuvraj Singh will win the 10 franchises. But the participation of Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals in the auction is subject to court orders.
The auction will be conducted by Richard Madley, a professional auctioneer from England who made each player IPL previous auctions. The procedure will be broadcast live on Sony Max in September.
"The auction DLF IPL is actually a very exciting prospect! I am convinced that the IPL fans across India and around the world will pay attention to what the best cricketers in the world will bear the colors of the IPL team next season, "said Chirayu Amin, president of IPL.
Of 421 cricketers, who had expressed interest in participating in the auction, a short list of 350 cricketers produced by various IPL franchises.
