Ramnaresh Sarwan never thought to stop playing for West Indies at the World Cup, even after the selectors dropped mixer to medium.
"No, no, no, not really," said a sweat Sarwan Monday after an intense session of batting R. Premadasa Stadium in wet conditions.
"I'm having a lot of cricket in me and I hope to contribute more to the West Indies Cricket."
His preparation for the tournament, Sarwan hit two and a half centuries in limited-over series against Sri Lanka earlier this month and followed up with a century against Kenya's warm-up match at the weekend.
E 'away, in November last year, when 30 years of Guyana batsman, has been dropped for the Test series against Sri Lanka on what the West Indies Cricket Board, described the indifferent attitude to fitness.
"Every time we do not represent the Caribbean (he) is disappointing, and these lessons are behind me," he said. "Now, it is important that we focus on what we do here as a team."
West Indies are expected to compete with Bangladesh on one of the four quarterfinal places in Group B which also Australia, India, England, Ireland and Holland.
Last week, Bangladesh has moved to No. 8 in one day international rankings, while in 1975 and 1979 world champion West Indies slipped to its abundance of all-time low of ninth prompting discussion about his downfall of grace.
