Multimatic unveils de Macross GT1

To paraphrase Ferris Bueller... several Inside Trackers got to 'see something good' yesterday. We attended the unveiling of the new de Macross GT1 supercar. The car was commissioned by designer Jahong Hur, who approached Canada's Multimatic about turning his vision into reality. They did it in a year.
Thank you to Multimatic and Mr. Hur for inviting us to see this neat new car.

In a nutshell:
  • 800 + HP (5.4 L Supercharged Aluminum V8 supplied by Roush Yates Racing)
  • 7,000+ redline
  • 0-60 in 3.4 sec. (predicted)
  • 1-100 in 7.5 sec.
  • Top speed: 215+ mph
  • Chassis / Body: Multimatic modular hybrid carbon fibre / aluminum composite tub. Aluminum body
  • plus some very unique suspension components, as only Multimatic can provide
