Gallup Poll - 50% of Americans Are Inconsistent S&P 500, Dow Jones, Nasdaq

NEW YORK - A Gallup poll suggests that 52% of Americans think China has the world's number one economy.

In 2009, China and the U.S. finished in a tie .The standard of living in China is extremely low, with GDP per capita of $4,000, compared to the USA's $47,000. GDP is $14 trillion in the U.S. compared to $5 trillion in China.

In another poll less than 50% of Americans believe China will be the leading economic power in 20 years. Consistency is obviously not an issue with most Americans.

In sum the Gallup poll suggests that 50% of Americans are inconsistent.
