(June 7, 2011) - Potomac Falls High School junior Jackson Rogers has been named the Region II Pitcher of the Year in a vote of the region's coaches and Broad Run skipper Pat Cassidy, who led his team to its first regional title since 1996, is the Coach of the Year.

(May 27, 2011) - Area high school boys soccer teams will be busy on Monday as the Region II tournament opens with Broad Run hosting Charlottesville, Potomac Falls at Millbrook and Tuscarora at Fluvanna. Park View will host the Tuscarora-Fluvanna winner on Tuesday.

Baseball: Region II Bracket Released - Freedom and Briar Woods on Road Monday, Broad Run and Potomac Falls Open Tuesday

(May 27, 2011) - The Region II baseball tournament will open on Memorial Day with Briar Woods High School and Freedom High School on the road. Both Broad Run and Potomac Falls will open play Tuesday.

Briar Woods is at Brentsville and Freedom is at Monticello Monday. On Tuesday, Potomac Falls is at Skyline and Broad Run hosts the Fluvanna vs. Sherando winner.

(May 24, 2011) - Briar Woods High School junior pitcher Macy Jones, who led the Falcons from fourth place at midseason to the Dulles District regular-season title, has been named the district's Player of the Year in a vote of the coaches. (May 24, 2011) - Broad Run High School senior pitcher Taylor Clarke, who helped the Spartans to the Dulles District regular-season title, has been named the district's Player of the Year in a vote by the coaches. Broad Run skipper Pat Cassidy picked up Coach of the Year honors.

Clarke was named an unanimous choice as first team designated hitter and picked up second team pitching honors.
