Lacrosse: Loudoun Teams Fight Hard but Fall in State Quarterfinals

(June 7, 2011) - Three Loudoun lacrosse team battled over the weekend in the VHSL state quarterfinals but the Briar Woods High School boys and Loudoun Valley and Woodgrove girls all saw their seasons come to a close.

Boys Lacrosse: Albemarle 9, Briar Woods 7
The Falcons led, 6-1, at the half but couldn't not stop Albemarle for the big comeback.

Friday Playoff Schedule: Three Lax Teams Open State Tournament; Six Loudoun Teams Play for Region II Titles; 11 Total in Action!

(June 3, 2011) - A very busy June Friday playoff schedule has three Loudoun lacrosse teams on the road as the state tournament opens and six teams playing locally for Region II titles and the chance to host a state quarterfinal on Tuesday. 
The Briar Woods boys lacrosse team is at Albemarle while the Loudoun Valley girls are facing Madison at Marshall and the Woodgrove girls travel to Osbourn

Lacrosse: Loudoun Valley Girls Advances to State Tournament with Big Road Win; Woodgrove Girls, BWoods Boys Fall Just Short in Regional Title Games

(May 26, 2011) - Broad Run High School senior Mike Mabry will play lacrosse next year at NCAA Division III Christopher Newport University. Mabry is one of 10 Loudoun athletes headed to CNU.

Lacrosse: Five Teams Play for State Tournament Bids Tonight

Ashburn (May 25, 2011) - The Briar Woods High boys lacrosse is just one win away from making the VHSL state tournament for the first time after a 13-10 win over Salem Monday in the Region II quarterfinals. The Falcons are not alone as the Dominion boys, Woodgrove girls and Freedom girls are also just one win away from a first state tournament.

Lacrosse; Stone Bridge Celebrates Signing of Five Players

(May 23, 2011) - The Stone Bridge High School boys and girls lacrosse programs celebrated the college signing of five players last week in a ceremony in the school's library.

Lacrosse: Park View vs. Potomac Falls Boys and Girls Contests Postponed

(May 4, 2011) - Wet fields have postponed the Potomac Falls and Park View girls and boys varsity lacrosse games tonight until Monday May 9 at Park View.

The Patriots JV girls soccer game at Freedom is still on for 5:15 p.m. as is the track meet at Woodgrove for 5:30 p.m.
