Borough Prez celebrates Women’s History Month

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., joined by his wife Hilda Diaz, hosted a special breakfast honoring a group of outstanding women in celebration of Women’s History Month 2011.

During the breakfast forum “Our history is our strength,” a group of exceptional women were honored for their achievements and contributions to The Bronx and NYC. This year’s honorees were: Majora Carter, Majora Carter Group; Honorable Laura G. Douglas, Administrative Justice, Civil Division Bronx Supreme Court; and Aramina Vega Ferrer, Ph. D., Associate Professor of Literacy and Multilingual Studies at Mercy College.
