Dane Cook, Julia Stiles Broadway Play Delayed

When we talked with Dane Cook at SXSW on his latest film project, "detention," the actor said he intended to end the year with a planned move in a Broadway show, then several months write a new book he had published both in 2012.

Book can jump on top of Cook-do list.

This is Broadway show "Fat Pig" has been delayed by a year. THR says that investors "suddenly pulled out" to force manufacturers to put the project on the shelf until further notice.

"The suspension is due to deposition of the last minutes of a key investment, the production company, Hartman Group, said in a statement. "This does not allow time for producers to obtain the necessary capital and the re-start the exercises scheduled to open before the Tony Awards cut-off."

Cook was chosen to play with Josh Hamilton, Julia Stiles and Heather Jane Rolff. The show will premiere today at the Teatro Belsaco spring 2012, according to THR.
