Rory McIlroy, has once again demonstrated his fondness for Hong Kong Open by shooting a seven under par 63, the opening day of the event on Thursday.
Playing under the rule lie preferred McIlroy recorded eight birdies and one bogey completed near lunch time, before Britain's Simon Dyson.
Dyson capped his round hole-in-one, on December 3rd hole par 32-year-old English scored his third. Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell, the highest player ranked ninth in Hong Kong, bogeyed the final round of 65 is tied in third place early on.
Also five under par is Ireland's Damien McGrane and Korean Young Nam, who received the invitation to sponsor the competition.
