Japanese shortstop Tsuyoshi Nishioka is free to move to Major League Baseball by the posting system, the team announced Wednesday.
MLB teams have four days to bid on the table the rights to 26-year Nishioka, who helped the Lotte Marines win in 2010 Japan Series.
Display system allows major league teams to bet on the table for the rights of Japanese players who have yet to become free agents.
Nishioka led the Pacific League with a .346 batting average this season and had 206 hits, becoming the first player in the Pacific League record 200 hits since Ichiro Suzuki in 2004.
