Hall of Famer Bill Mazeroski was unable to attend the first public screening of the 1960 World Series Game 7 broadcast because of an undisclosed illness.
Pirates released a statement saying the 74-year Mazeroski will not participate in the screening Saturday evening in a theater in Pittsburgh.
Mazeroski, who hit home runs not only to decide a World Series Game 7, was interviewed for a DVD of the television. A film broadcast NBC-TV, not yet known to have existed, was found last year at the end of the cave artist Bing Crosby.
Crosby was part owner of 1960-Pirates. Pirates '10-9 victory in Game 7 will be posted on the MLB Network on December 15.
